Tungsten T gets software patch

Palm has now made available a free software patch for its Tungsten T handheld, resolving several issues with this specific model. Fixes include digitizer issues affecting the top 5 mm of the Tungsten T display not responding correctly or at all, typically detected when using pull down menus or applications that utilize this part of the display; audio playback issues, associated with playing audio files (such as MP3 or WAV), which affect sound output quality; and enhancements to the Palm Sound Manager included with this update to enable the playback of audio files in the background with some applications.
Additionally, the update also remedies issues connecting to the Internet or e-mail via a Bluetooth dongle attached to a PC, enabling users to avoid the use of popular third-party proxy application MochaPPP. Also, users of devices with more than 345 files in memory will no longer have to worry as a launcher issue with an error message appearing when attempting to gain access to the App menu has been resolved.
The newly released patch incorporates and replaces the following previously released patches for correcting the digitizer and audio issues with the Palm Tungsten T.
