AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile USA today announced a joint roaming agreement, opening up significant new coverage territory for both companies. For AT&T Wireless customers, the roaming agreement covers approximately 3,000 highway miles and 12.1 million potential customers, while for T-Mobile customers, the agreement opens up more than 2,500 miles of Interstate highways covering approximately 10.9 million potential customers.

AT&T Wireless also announced a roaming agreement with its network affiliate Cincinnati Bell Wireless, providing service to AT&T Wireless customers in the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, area. The agreement also provides Cincinnati Bell Wireless customers with access to AT&T Wireless' national GSM/GPRS network. Cincinnati Bell expects to have its network operational by the fourth quarter of 2003, at which point AT&T Wireless customers will be able to roam seamlessly on the new network covering 2.2 million people.

Financial terms of either of the agreements were not disclosed. The additional GSM/GPRS 1900 coverage provided by the roaming agreement between AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile is expected to be available this June for both companies' customers.">
