Remember popular Rebound! for Pocket PCs? Well, IdeaWorks3D will launch the very same game for Microsoft's Smartphone 2002 platform, and says playability will be almost similar.
The first product based on Microsoft's Smartphone 2002 platform, Sendo's Z100, should be just around the corner now (although it has been for months, apparently). Given the underlying basis of that platform being the same as for the Pocket PC platform, namely the Windows CE operating system, there is little doubt that several successful applications will be ported to Smartphone 2002 - and not the least games.

IdeaWorks3D is working on a Smartphone 2002 version of its Rebound! game for the Pocket PC platform, which is well described by the company itself as a "fast-paced remix of some of the best aspects of classic computer gaming". The game is played from an isometric 3D viewpoint, and combines elements of pinball, arcade, and puzzle games, with frantic "race against the clock" gaming.

According to Strategic Director of Marketing with IdeaWorks3D, Thor Gunnarsson, Rebound! for Smartphone 2002 will have the same features as the Pocket PC version, as well as support for Over-The-Air (OTA) downloading of levels and some multiplayer functionality which will be revealed closer to the official announcement of the game. Unfortunately, no further details are available regarding pricing and availability since the game is still in development, but as the information trickles out you'll know where to read about it first.
