Chapura has released an updated version of their KeyContacts PIM software for Palm OS. KeyContacts is an advanced contact manager and Address Book replacement that tries to duplicate most of the functionality of Microsoft Outlook.

The update includes a number of incremental improvements. KeyContacts now binds to the Phone Lookup feature, so other applications that call Phone Lookup will get the KeyContacts database instead of the default database. It also supports dialing directly from KeyContacts on Palm OS smartphones, such as the Handspring Treo and devices from Kyocera and Samsung.

Chapura has also updated KeyContacts as well as several of their desktop-side applications to ensure Palm OS 5 compatibility, including support for the Palm OS 5 High-Density screen API.

KeyContacts costs $24.95, and the new version is a free upgrade for current users.">
