Ski flying with the Nokia 9210By Jørgen Sundgot, Wednesday 2 January 2002
If you're a Nokia 9210 owner, chances are you already know that the software selection is rather slim. However, gems do exist - and a new ski flying game looks to be one of them.

As any Nokia 9210 owner will be able to tell you, there isn't too much software to choose from when you'd like to expand on the features of the device, be it for business or personal purposes alike. One thing that always comes in handy for the typical 9210 owner - a busy professional on the move - is a game or two to relax with, and RedLynx' Skiflying for the 9210 looks to provide just that.

Regardless of platform, the screenshots from RedLynx' Skiflying for the Nokia 9210 shows one of the most visually exquisite games we've ever laid our eyes on

Featuring what can only be described as beautifully rendered backdrops and landscapes, Skiflying has a real physics engine using real world point calculations to provide a realistic feel to the game play. The game has 4 carefully hand-crafted hills for players to choose between, and is also the very first Nokia 9210 game that is available for customers to buy using your their mobile phone.

Customers of Finnish Sonera can access a special service that will allow them to purchase and download the game directly to their 9210 through a procedure that only requires a few key presses and where the purchase amount will be billed to their mobile phone bill. Considering that the entire procedure would be somewhat time-demanding both due to the time spent completing it and downloading it over a GSM connection, it'd probably be far cheaper - but less fun - purchasing some other way.

If you'd like to see a second backdrop from the game, you'll find one on the next page.
