New HP Pavilion Notebooks for 2010 Video Previewed

The new HP Pavilion notebook PCs, including the HP Pavilion dm4, dv5, dv6 and dv7, aim to meet a wide variety of power, performance and mobility needs at prices that fit most budgets. Check out the 2010 Pavilion family in our video report below:
HP Pavilion dm4 Specifications
The thin-and-light HP Pavilion dm4 features a full-metal chassis with an etched pattern on its brushed aluminum finish. Powered by Windows 7 and an Intel Core i5 processor, it includes a 14-inch LED display with a resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels, DVD drive, 500GB HDD, fingerprint reader and up to 6.5 hours of battery life. The notebook measures 13.42 by 8.98 by 0.98 inches (1.27 inches at the back) and weighs 4.4 pounds.
The HP Pavilion dm4 offers Intel GMA HD integrated graphics, integrated Web camera, 5-in-1 Digital Media Reader (SD, MMC, MS, ms Pro, XD), as well as Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and an HP Clickpad. Ports include the following: 3x USB 2.0 (1x shared eSATA), Ethernet, VGA, HDMI, Headphone jack and Microphone jack.
HP Pavilion dv7 Specifications
The HP Pavilion dv7 aims to be the ultimate balance of power and performance for entertainment. With a 17.3-inch 900p LED display, Altec Lansing speakers, an HP Triple Bass Subwoofer and the option of Beats Audio, the dv7 promises a great audio and virtual surround sound experience. The notebook also comes with Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 and Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 for creating photo and video content.
The HP Pavilion dv7 sports an AMD Triple-Core N830 processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card with 1GB DDR3 RAM, DVD drive, 500GB HDD, integrated Web camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 5-in-1 Digital Media Reader (SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro, XD), and an HP Clickpad. Ports include the following: 4x USB 2.0 (1x shared eSATA), VGA, HDMI, Ethernet, Headphone jack and Microphone jack.
HP Pavilion dv6 and dv5
The HP Pavilion dv6 notebook is the first HP notebook to be available with an optional touch screen in the United States. Like the dm4 and dv7, it'll also come with HP SimplePass, providing consumers enhanced security access to all their passwords (see our video report above for a demonstration).
The HP Pavilion dv5 notebook features a unique 14.5-inch LED display, and it'll be available in black cherry, champagne and Sonoma red Imprint finishes.
Price and release date
The HP Pavilion dm4, dv5, dv6 and the dv7 Select Edition are expected to be available in the United States on May 19 with starting prices of $730, $650, $700 and $850, respectively.
