AT&T has now officially announced support for Palm's WebOS, and the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus will be available in the coming months. With a two-year contract, the Palm Pre Plus will cost $250 while the Palm Pixi Plus will cost $150. A $100 mail-in rebate will be given when signing up for a qualifying plan.
Furthermore, AT&T will soon unveil the Android-based Dell Aero, which will be Dell's first smartphone in the U.S. According to AT&T, the Dell Aero will feature a new, beautiful custom user interface developed by Dell and AT&T. The Dell Aero will be an all-touch smartphone sporting a 5-megapixel camera with Flash and dedicated shutter button as well as a mini USB port.
Users can share images and videos to Flickr, Facebook, Picasa, YouTube and Twitpic. The Dell Aero also integrates social networks like Facebook in its phonebook and calendar. Additionally, the Android browser will be equipped with a Flash Lite 3 plug-in to enable in-browser streaming of for instance YouTube videos.
