Windows Phone 7 fans shouldn't worry too much about anything when it comes to their newfound love, copy and paste functionality included.
We recently highlighted some of the functionality Silverlight 4 will bring to Windows Phone 7 in our story about Samsung's WP7 prototype. Among the functionality we didn't cover was a Clipboard API that will provide access to a global clipboard which enables copy and paste in every corner of Windows Phone 7.
Since Silverlight 4 is brand new, there's not sufficient time to incorporate Silverlight 4 on devices prior to launch later this year. Make no mistake about it though, it's a high-priority task at the Redmond camp. Perhaps the most important aspect of Silverlight 4 will be a significant increase in performance though, as users will likely want their apps to run as smooth as possible.
