Verizon Wireless released a range of hot smartphones and cell phones last year, and it looks like the carrier plans to make 2010 even better as far as hot releases are concerned. Already in late January, Verizon released improved WebOS smartphones by Palm:
Following the success of the Motorola Droid and Droid Eris, Verizon's Android lineup will soon also be expanded with the introduction of a new QWERTY slider and an all-touch phone. The latter will be the HTC Incredible, "Verizon's version" of the recently announced HTC Desire. An official announcement hasn't been made yet, but we think it'll be released in time to compete with Apple's next iPhone.
The upcoming QWERTY slider has already been announced though, the Motorola Devour, which will be released next month. Unlike the Droid, the Devour will boast Motorola's Motoblur interface, providing social networking integration of high quality:
We also expect to see a range of other new Verizon phones being announced and released in the months ahead. The first quarter of the year is usually Verizon's slowest for new releases, and new big guns tend to always show up in the second quarter and throughout the year. Given the carrier has already released quite capable WebOS phones and followed up with the announcement of the Moto Devour, we think Verizon Wireless subscribers should look forward to a great phone year in 2010.
