AT&T has equipped the LG Arena with a Mobile TV chip and will also provide access to social networking sites through AT&T Social Net.
A version of the LG Arena boasting Qualcomm's MediaFLO chip will be available in AT&T's online store beginning February 26 and in AT&T stores nationwide March 7. The phone, which was originally announced and released last year in Europe, sports a 3-inch WVGA touchscreen, LG's 3D S-Class UI, as well as a 5-megapixel autofocus camera.
It's all about Mobile TV
The LG Arena is the latest AT&T Mobile TV-capable device to hit stores. Users will be able to enjoy around-the-clock access to full-length live and time-shifted programming from FLO TV, including content from ABC, ABC Entertainment, ABC Family, ABC News, ABC Sports, CBS, CBS College Sports, CBS News, CNBC, COMEDY CENTRAL, Disney Channel, Disney Channel Original Movies, ESPN, ESPNEWS, ESPN 2, FOX, FOX News Channel, FOX Sports, FUEL TV, msnbc, MTV, NBC, NBC 2Go, NBC News, NBC Sports, Nickelodeon, Playhouse Disney, SOAPNet and the movie channel Crackle.
AT&T Mobile TV is available for $10 per month, and new subscribers receive the first seven days of their subscription for free.
The LG Arena also offers a full HTML browser, AT&T Navigator support as well as AT&T Social Net. The latter provides access to social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
Price and release date
The LG Arena will be available for $250 with a two-year contract on February 26 (Online) and March 7 (In stores). A $50 mail-in rebate will be given when signing up for a qualifying plan.
