The Motorola Cliq XT has now been made official, and should arrive with a range of new features for T-Mobile customers next month.
T-Mobile already offers the Motorola Cliq, but it'll be joined by the Motorola Cliq XT sans QWERTY keyboard next month. Like its sibling, the Cliq XT will be boasting Motorola's Motoblur social networking interface.
Motorola Cliq XT brings several new features
The Motorola Cliq XT will not only be an all-touch version of the original Cliq though, as it provides new navigational features such as pinch-to-zoom (multi-touch gesture). The Cliq XT's browser will also include the Adobe Flash Lite 3 plug-in, enabling in-browser video streaming of for instance YouTube videos.
Another feature found in the Motorola Cliq XT is the new Swype software keyboard, which T-Mobile recently also started offering through an upgrade of the myTouch 3G. Furthermore, the Cliq XT will offer a new connected media player that lets you buy and instantly download music from an MP3 store while integrating third-party apps such as TuneWiki, SoundHound, GoTV and YouTube. There's also a music search feature that aims to make it easier to find songs. All in all, the media player lets you share your favorite tracks, discover new ones, find lyrics, watch videos and stream FM radio.
