As Research In Motion moves its GSM portfolio into 3G and Wi-Fi land, the new BlackBerry Pearl 9100 turns out to be one of the phones to make it happen.
Research In Motion's BlackBerry Pearl series is often claiming great spots on sales number rankings, and it looks like we'll soon see the latest and greatest Pearl offer AT&T 3G network support and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The BlackBerry Pearl 9100 to be exact, will according to FoneFrenzy offer GSM Quadband support, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a camera with LED flash and a microSD/microSDHC memory slot.
A hands-on photo of the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 reveals that the phone runs BlackBerry OS 5.0.0.426. A track-pad will also replace the track ball on this phone.
In related news, Boy Genius Report today revealed that while RIM is currently working on OS 5.2, a source has dropped word that BlackBerry OS 6.0 is now in an initial development phase as well.
