What happens if you already have a pile of media content that you want to stream from a UPnP media server to the new Apple iPad? Well, the Apple iPad does not offer UPnP support out-of-box to give you seamless streaming opportunities like that, but eHomeUpgrade has dug up a $4.99 iPhone app called PlugPlayer that'll solve your problem.
The PlugPlayer application streams music and video formats that play correctly on iPhone OS, with the exception of files purchased through the iTunes Store:
Audio: AIFF, AIFC, WAVE, CAF, NeXT, ADTS, MPEG Audio Layer 3, AAC
Video: .mov, .mp4, .mpv, .3gp - using either H.264 Baseline Profile Level 3.0 video (no b-frames) or MPEG-4 Part 2 video Simple Profile
