Samsung today announced the South Korean market launch of its newest multimedia player, the Samsung R0 (YP-R0), featuring advanced audio and video capabilities together with a MicroSD memory slot that frees users of memory constraints.
With its slim form factor and 2.6-inch TFT LCD screen, the Samsung R0 aims to offer a powerful multimedia experience in a stylish package. The Samsung R0 features generous memory capacity with a built-in MicroSD memory slot that allows users to boost storage capacity by up to 16GB. With a choice of models offering 4GB or 8GB of internal memory, consumers can enjoy a variety of multimedia content including video, music and pictures.
For easy viewing of high-quality video, the Samsung R0 supports a range of popular formats including DivX, XviD, H.264 and WMV, eliminating the need for external conversion. In addition, Samsung's patented DNSe 3.0 sound enhancement technology aims to provide crystal clear sound quality to give users the ultimate multimedia experience.
With a sophisticated design and slim body measuring just 8.8 mm deep, the Samsung R0 features an optimized grip giving a unique style, while the integrated tactile keypad is promised to make the device easy to operate in the dark.
Among the many added features, the Samsung R0 includes an FM radio, second-language acquisition programs and a text/photo viewer. The device ships in three colors: Indie Black, Techno Silver and Rap Pink.
There's no word on price and availability for the Samsung R0 in Europe or the U.S.
