Yahoo! Finance today reported that rumors are saying Nokia is looking into acquiring Palm. That sounds like an impossible deal to us since Palm and Apple's patent dispute earlier this year.
Just weeks ago, Nokia said it would sue Apple over ten patent infringements, and now they're looking into buying a company that is infringing Apple's patents?
Earlier this year, Palm investors hoped that the Palm Pre on Sprint would give the company a serious boost, but that didn't happen. While sales numbers have been decent in a rough market, we think Palm investors should bet on some Verizon Wireless magic next year rather than hoping for impossible acquisitions.
