WinMo fans can now enjoy an in-depth review of the HTC HD2 for O2 UK, revealing impressive performance compared to last year's HTC Touch HD.

Enthusiast site 4WinMobile has put the HTC HD2 for O2 UK through its paces, and has found a device that outperforms its predecessor by far when it comes to both hardware performance and interface design. It seems like those who have given up on Windows Mobile for performance and interface design issues should take the HTC HD2 seriously.

While obvious advantages in a specification sheet can be hampered by many factors in the real world, it seems like the HTC HD2 hardware and HTC's Sense UI in combination gives Windows Mobile a boost beyond what would be natural to imagine only a few months ago.

Of course, there's more to a multimedia smartphone than powerful performance and a great interface design, but if you take a mediocre camera out of the equation, the HTC HD2 seems to be on the right track here. We recommend taking a closer look at 4WinMobile's test results and hands-on images here.
