Motorola Droid and Motorola Calgary
It's perhaps the hottest phone by Motorola in years, and now it turns out that the Motorola Droid for Verizon Wireless will be upgraded with Flash 10 support in 2010. According to Boy Genius Report, Motorola spilled the beans on its revamped product website late last night. All the current key specs can be found in BGR's post here, while information on the upcoming announcement can be found here.
The Motorola Calgary seems to be a "mass-market" Android smartphone, and Boy Genius Report hopes to see it released late this year. Check out specifications and photos of the new smartphone at BGR here.
Dell Streak
An upcoming Android smartphone by Dell, codenamed Dell Streak, could become one of the hottest smartphones on the market next year. The Dell Streak will feature a 5-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels, Android 2.0, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. There's also a 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, a microSD slot and a 1,300 mAh battery. A video of the device recently uploaded to YouTube can be found here.
HTC Desire
Verizon Wireless' first all-touch Android smartphone seems to be the HTC Desire, which will be a competitor to the recently released HTC Hero for Sprint. Boy Genius Report has been able to get hold of a picture of the Desire, revealing that HTC's Sense UI may appear in Verizon Wireless stores soon. Offering customized UIs haven't been one of Verizon Wireless' strongest aspects, but it looks like HTC's latest version of the TouchFLO 3D and the new Sense UI have been given big thumbs up.
Upcoming T-Mobile releases
According to TmoNews, T-Mobile customers should look forward to a range of smartphone releases in November. The site this week reported that the new BlackBerry Bold 9700 for T-Mobile will be released on November 11th, while the Samsung Behold II will be released on November 18th. Perhaps more important to some, it seems like the HTC HD2 might be picked up by T-Mobile USA at some point, at least based on this document obtained by TmoNews.
