A ton of new and upcoming smartphones and cell phones are on display at CTIA Fall 2009 in San Diego. While waiting for our in-depth stories, here's a quick look and hands-on galleries of some of them.
Our Editor Philip Berne is attending CTIA Fall 2009 in San Diego this week, and will be providing his hands-on impressions from upcoming phones for the U.S. market in the days ahead. For those who can't wait for all our stories, here's a quick look and hands-on galleries of 19 of the phones we will feature (and make sure to check out the recently reviewed HTC Imagio that was also on display):
Android Phones
Verizon Wireless' upcoming Android Phones were missing to make CTIA a full-blown Android event, but if you've had your doubts about Android before, this fall has proved that the operating system is getting a lot of love from carriers and manufacturers. We found T-Mobile's Samsung Behold II and Motorola Cliq, as well as Sprint's upcoming Samsung Moment, on display at the show floor:

Windows Phones
In addition to the HTC Imagio we recently reviewed, a range of new Windows Phones were on display at CTIA this week. One of the hottest is Verizon Wireless' upcoming Samsung Omnia 2, but Sprint's new Samsung Intrepid is also a nice addition to the smartphone world. We also came across a couple of unlocked Windows Phones, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 and the Toshiba TG01:

BlackBerry, WebOS & Symbian Phones
RIM didn't bring its upcoming goodies to CTIA, but we did at least find a couple of well-known BlackBerry phones dressed in white. The upcoming Palm Pixi with snap-on covers were also on display, as well as the new Nokia N97 mini (a more compact version of the Nokia N97):

Cell Phones
The Garmin Nuvifone G60 is finally ready for prime-time on AT&T's network, a Linux-based cell phone optimized for urban adventures. The eco-friendly Samsung Blue Earth is also hitting store shelves around the world right now. T-Mobile showed off its new mass market touchscreen phone, the T-Mobile Tap. We also found a bunch of LG phones for smaller carriers like MetroPCS and U.S. Cellular. Lastly, we took some pictures of Nokia's latest flip phones for entry-level users, the Nokia Mural and Nokia 3711 for AT&T and T-Mobile, respectively:
