Tired of busting out the old USB cable every time you want to transfer images to your computer? There's no need for that anymore, thanks to the 4GB Eye-Fi Pro SDHC card, which enables users to wirelessly upload their images directly to a computer straight from the camera. The Eye-Fi Pro supports RAW image files and is ad hoc, offering peer-to-peer connectivity, which obliterates the need for a router or internet connection.
With a new Selective Transfer feature, users can choose exactly which photos and videos they want to upload from directly within the camera. Similar to the Eye-Fi Explore Video, the Eye-Fi Pro supports direct uploads to more than 25 different online photo and video sharing sites and allows users to upload from home via over 10,000 Wayport and open hotspots. This way images will automatically be goetagged with photo location information.
We're seeing Eye-Fi support sprout up across the digital camera hemisphere on models like the Nikon D5000 and Casio's entire 2009 Spring lineup, including the recently announced Casio Exilim EX-H10.
The Eye-Fi Pro is available now on Amazon or www.eye.fi for $150.
