As revealed by its model name, the Harman Kardon BDP-1 is the company's first Blu-ray player, offering a good mix of multimedia features.
Harman Kardon today announced its first Blu-ray player, the Harman Kardon BDP-1. The player is designed to complement high-def displays and A/V receivers, and features Harman Kardon's well-known user interface for setup and operation. The Harman Kardon BDP-1 features 1080p up-conversion, BD-Live support as well as JPEG and MP3 playback from discs or USB memory sticks. The Blu-ray player will be available in June 2009 for $500.
