According to MobileCrunch, there's a new Internet Tablet coming out of the Finnish woods this summer, namely the Maemo based Nokia N900. Back in 2007, we wrote a fictional story about the N900. Pure luck or what?
The most positive aspect of this rumor is the fact that the N900 will offer 1GB of virtual runtime memory (256MB physical RAM, 768MB virtual memory). If there's one thing Nokia's Internet Tablets have lacked in the past, it's system memory that matches portable computers.
It's difficult to decide whether this is a rumor to believe in. And after all, it was a fictional story on our part back in 2007. On the other hand, CellPassion claims to have gotten their hands on an image of the device (which looks like it's been extracted from one of those Nokia PDF documents that appear now and then). Regardless, we wouldn't mind seeing a new Internet Tablet of this kind being released this summer.
