When AT&T Wireless released the Rugby recently, we hit it with a motorcycle and the phone held on like a champ. Now AT&T customers are getting a second choice in the rugged phone category, as the new Tundra will soon be released with a design meeting U.S. Military Standards.
The phone's CrystalTalk Plus technology promises noise reduction that could come in handy when talking in noisy surroundings. Featuring TeleNav Track and Xora Mobile Workforce Management Tools, the phone is also promising to provide efficient field worker tools beyond calling. It also offers Push-To-Talk technology for instant connection to a single person or an entire team with the touch of a button.
Additionally, the new Motorola phone offers Stereo Bluetooth support, USB 2.0, microSD slot supporting 4GB cards and the most common music playback formats. It's also sporting a 2-megapixel camera and an internal memory of 100MB.
The phone will be available for $200 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract in AT&T stores and online on January 13. While waiting for our full review, check out a comparison between the Tundra and Rugby here.
