Samsung SGH-i300
Score: 85% When: November 2005 Worth: €115 - €650 What: Music phones, Business phones
It may not look like a music phone at first glance, but looks can be deceiving: outstanding audio quality, intuitive and comfortable navigation, spacious storage and first-rate synchronization render the SGH-i300 the best music phone we’ve reviewed to date. As if that wasn’t enough, it’s also a first-class alternative for business users not in need of editing capabilities, and contains a raft of clever little touches which show attention to detail and result in a finely polished handset. Heartily recommended. More...

Samsung SGH-D820
Score: 80% When: April 2006 Worth: €450 - €650 What: Slim phones, Samsung phones
Add an all-black and sleek design to a slider handset and it'll be a definitive hit - and even more so if you throw in an impressively bright and clear high-resolution screen to act as the viewfinder for a Megapixel camera snapping high-quality stills. Still, its superbly slim form factor has led the handset to make some compromises, including a mediocre navigational pad and battery life. For those who don't mind these slight bumps in the road, however, the Samsung SGH-D820 comes highly recommended. More...

Samsung SGH-D600E
Score: 70% When: March 2006 Worth: €400 - €650 What: Camera phones, Samsung phones
Whilst not the best camera phone we've seen, Samsung's SGH-D600E takes decent images under favourable conditions and also provides a good selection of options through which images can be shared with others - including, unusually, TV out. Furthermore, its superb high-resolution display excels as a viewfinder as well as under all other circumstances, while a solid amount of onboard memory and microSD expansion enable copious storage. The inclusion of EDGE is also noteworthy, as is the handset's excellent reception. More...

Samsung SGH-Z540
Score: 68% When: July 2006 Worth: €425 - €650 What: Phones, 3G phones
The Samsung SGH-Z540 comes with a laundry list of features, but with the exception of high marks in the departments of calling and messaging doesn't make much of an impression - if one disregards the stylish, slim design and the superb screen, that is. It also does well as a laptop sidekick, but mind the battery life; this one's more for show than for use, regardless of what it's used for. More...

Samsung SGH-Z150
Score: 66% When: July 2006 Worth: €325 - €650 What: 3G phones, Slim phones
World's slimmest 3G handset or not; Samsung's SGH-Z150 packs plenty of features into its wafer-thin appearances - but could just as well have done without most of them since the handset is mostly good for scheduling and basic messaging. Poor voice quality, no vibrating alert, worse photos, horrid battery life and a straight-jacket memory situation combine to deliver a striking blow to the handset's usability - and a well-earned 'avoid like the plague' recommendation. If you can withstand its 'ooh' factor, that is. More...

Samsung SGH-D870
When: June 2006 What: Camera phones, Slim phones
The latest addition to Samsung's venerable line-up of slider handsets, the SGH-D870 is a 3 Megapixel camera phone closely related to the previously released SGH-T809 and SGH-D820. Although snapping stills and recording video isn't as straightforward an affair as with other handsets due to the lack of an application-triggering lens cover, the user interface is an intuitive bit of work which graces the usual kind of high-quality screen we've come to expect from Samsung. As for music, suffice to say you should look elsewhere. More...
